Coaches, Parents and Fans of Minisink Youth Soccer,
What better to do on a rainy day with our soccer program washed out then to check out our favorite players in this year’s action shots by Wanamaker Photography. This site is being updated all the time, so be sure to check back from time to time to see all the great photos. You can place an order on their website for any of their products. This year’s soccer pictures will be available and handed out this upcoming soccer weekend 10/31. Be sure to check with your team parent before you leave the soccer fields next week. As for team Parents who are scheduled at Hansen Park please check in at the small equipment shed as you arrive at the field next week. Not at the concession stand. I will be there all day to handout photo packets. Please don't send parents over to pick up their photos. For Team parents at William Lain please pick up your photo packets at the snack shack.
Unfortunately, this year we have worked through many obstacles with fields and parking. With that being said we ask all coaches and team parents to help us these next two weeks. What we ask is to arrange your yearend parties at a different location than at Hansen Memorial Park before or after your game. Last year when we were at the school's pit, we had the room for teams to have a get together after their games. But this year we need all the parking we can get. What we fear is that after some games are complete people will be staying for parties and will not allow the following games any parking. Use of any other local park is up to your discretion.
AAny person(s) that would be interested in becoming a referee for next season please either email louis06810@yahoo.com Or come to the concession stand. So we can get your contact info. As we may have a few openings for either winter and spring training and classes or possible hands on training in live games.
Travel Soccer is a growing area of our Minisink Youth Soccer Program. This would be a great extension of the normal fall league. If your child would be interested please see a board member or email us. We offer all different age groups and are adding teams all the time. The added play time of travel soccer would be a great benefit for your child's health and playing ability. Don't let them be a couch potato over the winter! Keep them moving and enjoying a great sport and all it has to offer. We are looking into possibly building a tournament soccer team. Which would have a limited amount of games and is a great experience for the whole family.
The Board would like to welcome our newest board member, Brian Carey. He has been a common face at the fields on many days of the week. He has been with the league for years and has coached for most of them. We look forward to working along side you as we all try to make the Minisink Youth Soccer Program stronger and better every year.
A Reminder for all Coaches, this year’s trophies and Pizza Coupons can be picked up at the concession stand at either field this Sat. But you must bring completed evaluation sheets with you to receive your trophies and coupons!
This Soccer program wouldn't be possible without the help of volunteers, and coaches. We would like to take this time to thank many of you for your efforts for the last two months and longer. You've helped us make our program the best it could be. Some people that we'd like to say a very special thanks to for certain jobs and duties .
